1. INTRODUCTION

VogChat ("we", "our", or the "Application") is committed to protecting user privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user of VogChat.

            Our Core Principle:

            VogChat does not record, store, or share chat message content. Messages are relayed in real-time and are not
            written to persistent storage.
        

2. INFORMATION COLLECTED

2.1. Information That Is Collected

VogChat operates under a minimum data principle.

During Chat Code Creation / Joining:

8-character randomly generated chat code
Room password (stored only as a cryptographic, irreversible hash)

Technical Information:

Hashed identifier derived from connection data (used for rate limiting and safety)
Connection timestamp
Mandatory technical metadata required for secure and stable service operation

2.2. Information We Do Not Collect

VogChat does not collect, store, or retain the following data:

❌ Chat message content
❌ Sent photos or images
❌ Personal identifiers such as name, email, or phone number
❌ Location data
❌ Device fingerprinting

3. USE OF INFORMATION

The limited technical data collected is used solely for the following purposes:

3.1. Service Provision

Chat code validation
Room password matching verification
Real-time tracking of the number of users in the same chat

3.2. Security and Abuse Prevention

Prevention of spam and misuse
Rate limiting control
Closure of reported chats

⚠️ REPORTING AND MODERATION

When a user taps the "Report" option on the chat screen:

The related chat room is immediately and permanently closed
The same room code cannot be reused
Reported users may be subject to further action

Room closures cannot be reversed.
All responsibility arising from user actions, behavior, and shared content lies entirely with the user.

6. COOKIES AND LOCAL STORAGE

LocalStorage: Language and theme preferences (remain on the device, not sent to the server)
SessionStorage: Active chat information (deleted when the browser is closed)
Advertising cookies: Third-party services may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure advertisements. See Google's Ads Technologies policy
Third-party tracking: Not applicable

7. USER RIGHTS

Under KVKK and GDPR:

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

VogChat is rated 17+ and is not intended for individuals under the age of 17.

Individuals under 17 must not use the service
No data from minors is knowingly collected
If detected, all associated technical data is immediately deleted
Parents and guardians should supervise their children's online activity

This provision complies with KVKK, GDPR Article 8, COPPA, and Apple App Store Guidelines.

9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Servers are located within the European Union. Data is not transferred outside the EU.

11. POLICY CHANGES

In case of significant changes:

An in-app notification is displayed
The "Last Updated" date is revised
